Any cellular abnormalities (i.e. cancer, disease) in the cells of the tissue. Never heard of forensic histology though.
The block which is then mounted on a slide and stained. A histologist would look at the slide under a microscope to see 2/3
I'm in medical histology, we pretty much mount bits of diseased human tissue into wax blocks and cut a super thin cross sections from 1/2
Over samples from patients with metastatic cancers.
Don't get me started on private pathology work. 99% of the private biopsies we receive are for benign conditions are prioritised 1/2
Costs £13 for a 5 pack (already a con) PLUS a £50 processing fee. Private medical treats the nah as a free money fund. It sucks.
The real problem is private companies charging extortionate fees to the NHS for equipment. I had to order some o-rings for a machine 1/2
