I'm just a guy whose existence doesn't matter, in the grand scheme of things. Carry on, there are more interesting people out there.

The same rag used to wipe the counter, and a couple of tables, since morning 😆

Not to mention the flavour from the counter where it had been resting.

Welcome to the club. I tried to postpone it for as long as I could, but I had to face the reality of my (young) ageing. They quoted me more than 200 Euro for one pair of reading glasses, I bought a set of three for 5 Euro in the local supermarket. Game changer 😁

As a certain country, with prisons overcrowded by people used as ultra-cheap labour (slaves), shows us, "being found guilty" and "being guilty" are two very different things

I hope it's not a heron dealer

I'm not sure I understand. Does it mean that the US armed forces are acting like loose cannons, with the guy (theoretically) at the top claiming "credit" for that?

Regardless of the religion, anyone who considers themselves "chosen by god" should erase themselves from this planet and join their divinity.

Non-US human here. Does the US president have unlimited powers to move all the armed forces at will? When I studied the US government in school, about 40 years ago, I seem to remember that the Congress has the power to declare war and make decisions in relation to it, whereas the president can only make "smaller" (so to speak) decisions. Iran doesn't seem to fall into that category

Pope Pius XI himself called Mussolini "the man sent by the Divine Providence" and recommended the Italians to follow him. That's a key element of the rise to power. Elements of the Catholic Church also helped creating escape routes for certain "inconvenient" individuals

This post is wild

Crimes aside, I find it difficult to justify, or even tolerate, someone who preaches the idea of being "the holders of the only truth", claiming a divine right to kill others and spitting on them on a good day. That's fanaticism to me, and fanatics don't attract anyone's sympathy

I'm not sure what they are trying to achieve. If they aim at starting wars of religion, that seems like shooting on their own feet. I would like to think that we're past crusades and religious war (emphasis on "would like"), but, as far as I know, Judaism is a small minority, compared to both Christianity and Islam. An open fight doesn't seem like a great idea

Indeed. I was expecting a "watcha gonna do 'bout it?" added to the refusal to pay.

I didn't know that Odo played curling

Another grotesque way of selling the "American millionaire dream"? This seems way out of line.

Just the other day I was talking to a friend about the fact that the US are sold as "a place where you can get rich quick", but data shows that the main way to do so is to exploit others, due to the lack of safeguards and regulations that exist in other countries (which are far from perfect, but not as bad). "Get rick by shooting people as you please" doesn't sound like a scheme to be promoted

How is this guy getting almost a million in donations?

Why wouldn't you? What are you hiding? /s

Tickle time!

I'm not a US resident and I'm ignorant on the matter. I'm confused about those agents. ICE should be immigration control, which is an administrative issue. Unlawful immigration and residence is "paperwork stuff". Why are these guy dressed as if they were in a war zone?

Automation can be a great utopia, by freeing the mankind from the need to work for basic necessities, or a dystopia, to be avoided at all costs (emphasis on "AT ALL COSTS"), by pooling more resources into the hands of a small "elite" and leaving the masses to starve, unable to access the same necessities. Where are we going now?

Not far from here. Beautiful choice for a nice walk.

I think I have a solution: get another five jobs at the same salary. 39416 x 6 = 236496. If both parents work, even better, they only need three full time jobs each. 8 hours x 3 = 24, there's enough time.

There you go, solved. I expect a Nobel prize for something now. 🤣

Could someone smarter than me explain the meaning of the following statement?

"We won’t apologize for deporting dangerous criminal illegal murderers, rapists, and pedophiles from our country. Anyone who would defend these sick monsters must be stupid, or is it slow?"

I was under the impression that the people listed are currently in power. Are they saying that their voters are stupid and slow, and that they will deport themselves? 🤔

I just found out that the Haniwa and the people of that time were the inspiration behind the enemies of Kotetsu Jeeg (1975). Yes, I'm old 😅

Hence the "TTP" metric 😆

I'm ignorant on the matter, and also confused. I've often been told that the almighty "2nd amendment" is an essential right to ensure that the whole population can have weapons and rise against a tyrannical regime. Wouldn't this be a perfect chance to exercise that right, and stop this nonsense? In fact, shouldn't that have happened months ago? Or, perhaps, I'm really too dumb to understand what kind of regime the citizens should oppose. 🤔
