#31 not true, the FCA are a toothy regulator and regularly level significant fines, enforce rules and control lending/product decisions for UK banks. They removed all flat rate overdraft fees, (along with the PRA) brought in mandatory refunds for APP victims. The FCA can do everything up to and including removing of a banking license. I’d wish they would exercise that power more regularly 😅

Your framing is off. These aren’t images intended to show a true-to-life depiction but instead are artworks using the medium of photography. Blending images together to create that art is the whole point. “Fake” is not relevant in this context

#10 Offline authorisations. The terminal will connect when they land and properly process the payments. Only a small number of merchants are allowed to do this. If the payment declines, they will take the money regardless, so you can’t trick it 😅
