I mean, spacex is still a commercial venture after all. There is little commercial value in going to the moon.
Probably more to do with how much we consume. Even if you grew your own, you still need to moderate your intake. Balanced diet and all that.
hot meats. 2: Makes greasy cleanup easier. 3: it looks cool. Seriously, I think it started as functional for some folks and then it became just an image thing for some. I doubt most home bbq chefs are handling their meat at burning temps often enough that they wouldn't be using tools. https://www.reddit.com/r/grilling/comments/1b6ftjt/what_are_the_blacks_gloves_i_keep_seeing_in_this/
Right, I understand the purpose gloves serve, in general. All I'm saying is when it comes to bbq in particular, people seem to like their black nitrile gloves, however most other home* cooking doesn't feature gloves. Yes, we don't want to contaminate food, but properly washed hands should be used during cooking no matter what it is, so my question was, what gives with the black gloves and bbq? Best answer I can find from googling is a combination of a few things: 1: protects hands when handling>
most stubborn thing to wash off your hands is dough, I could see myself using gloves when working with flour. Never tried though. //
Seems like you and squillis are saying opposite things though. He's saying you wear gloves to prevent spreading grease to the food, and you're saying its to prevent getting grease on your hands? The latter I understand, so then I guess the answer to my question is "to make cleanup easier". Did I get that right? I guess I don't cook bbq so I don't know how annoying the grease is to wash off. Is washing it off substantially more difficult than usual from "typical" cooking tasks? I found the >>
If you want to know why nobody was in space in 2000, its because Mir came down in March of 2000, and the first crew to ISS didn't go up until November 2nd. Not sure why it says October 31st though.
I do too, but lets not pretend that mania like this is a uniquely male phenomenon.
But is the grease not coming from the food?
Can someone explain why the gloves? I get it if you're in food service, but why at home?

Its a viral tweet (with no source mind you), they could have used any photo they wanted. Until I see some source, I have no reason to believe its Barron. I frankly have no reason to believe this at all. Not that I doubt it happened, but if we just take whatever info is thrown our way at face value without ever verifying, we are no better than the trumpstans who gobble whatever his orange cock shoves down them.
Thats what always bothered my about minesweeper. Logic could only get you so far, there was almost always an element of chance involved no matter how good you got.
My mom is 73. She's a competent driver. I trust her to drive herself, my kids even. But I don't expect anyone to trust her to drive their kids, let alone a bus full of kids. If you're at retirement age, you shouldn't be driving massive vehicles for a living. This is before we even get into the fact that driving for a job is different than driving for yourself. When you drive for yourself, you can choose to stay home when you're tired or unwell. When its your livelihood, its different.
I loved how in Knives Out, Glass Onion, they lampoon those folks so subtly
