They removed a 21mm stone from my 91 yr old dad 2 weeks ago via Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy due to infection concerns, but it caused him no pain (yeah, I dunno). I had a stricture in my ureter for over 2 years, which results in the same blockage as a stone, and couldn't convince anyone that something was wrong with my kidney (parents, or half a dozen doctors). The pain sincerely sucked... you have my empathy. Hope you find relief soon!

I used to have a subscription to OMNI, when I was about 14 yrs old, because I loved sci-fi - until my mom read one of the short stories in it, and deemed it as being too mature.
