Not sure I've seen people claiming it's weird. It's more so people arguing why people were filming but they don't really understand how these cameras work or are used. Generally they record for N days so you can go back and review something if needed, otherwise it's recorded over. Additionally, indoor cameras are often used when you're not home. You set it to alert you via its motion sensor. It's just for security.

Yes, the key consideration is as I said - when you anticipate going a steady speed - which is generally not rush hour
I was going to ask why on Earth you're using cruise control during rush hour but upon reflection, I'm unsure you're aware that's actually the problem lol. Cruise control isn't a "self-driving" car service. It's explicitly designed for situations where you are traveling at a steady speed and don't want to hold the accelerator. Think of it as something you use during road trips while on the highway, not something you normally use every time you're driving - and especially not during rush hour
