And the truly sad thing is that if you are a conservative or even MAGA in Arizona and have been forgiven medical debt chances are you will still vote for the Republican candidate instead of the governor who did this.

That's because Trump has the literacy level of a school grader ( and not high school and certainly not college level).

It is frightening when you see the eloquence of Obama or even Biden contrasted with Trump, a direct representation how far the US have fallen.

She probably hogged the Nutella jar they had up there. Justified.

Even if this were true we all know that some Karen helicotper mom would prevent this from happening even if all the kids wanted it and most parents would be ok with it given adequate protection.

I'm a tabletop wargamer ( small miniatures arranged into armies to fight on a railroad model type terrain setup).

When you play a game you always have a mission, usually hold points ABC et. You can destroy the enemy army completely but still lose the game if you don't concentrate on the mission but your opponent does before being destroyed.

I feel like this is the case and Trump is too stupid to realize that.

Yeah? How about croatian priests blessing tanks during the Balkan Civil War in the 90s?

I'm a big fan of Colbert and always felt that Batiste was too talented to just be a what is essentially a fluff piece musician who appears for a few seconds on TV, gets to make a quip if that and nothing more ( not to disparage the current group, a job is a job).

When he announced Batiste was leaving to pursue his solo career i was both sad but also not surprised, i was just waiting for it to happen and when his career took off i was so happy for him.

He seems like a genuinely good guy.

If it's dumb but it works it isn't dumb.

Man, the next ( democrat) administration will likely have to spend their first four years just rebuilding the government nearly from the ground up and trying to re-hire all the people who were fired and took their experience with them. They will not succeed fully because Trump burned too many bridges so many government services will take years beyond that to return to anything resembling a pre-Trump status.

And at some point you just overcooked it and it's becoming less and less edible or tasteful.

I wouldn't call him an idiot, just impatient and not giving Mamdani enough time to do all the things he promised.

One has to stay vigilant though and follow the actions of this administration, not the words. If there is action good, keep going.

Why would you need more? Look at Rockefeller over here owning more than two pieces of underwear!

I'm in Germany so fuel is much more expensive than in the US so by nature companies had to develop fuel efficient cars or people wouldn't have bought them ( one of the main reasons US cars don't sell well here at all).

Then there's size - our roads are narrower and driving a US made tank equivalent also carriers problems of their own, so our utility trucks are much smaller.

We also don't use oben bed trucks that much (unless it's an actual construction truck) so vans are mostly used.

You are the minority sir that actually needs such a truck but even then i think there could be more fuel efficient trucks out there.

Well, Robin Williams brought his own fur coat so that didn't help with ventilation too ;)

What's with Techbro companies naming their stuff from Fantasy and Sci Fi franchises? When i worked for Amazon some systems were also taken from Lord of the Rings too.

After the task out of curiosity who the díckhead was i got into an argument with i opened the company phonebook and typed in his name. As you join the company you get a personell number and the smaller it is the longer you were with the company - his number was 8.

Just 8.

This was a multibillion dollar german software company, very well known in corporate software circles, so i basically gotten into a fight with one of the founding members :D

Back when i was at university i had a side job manning the data center after hours, at nights and on weekends with fellow students. It was a cool gig that paid well with very little work, we wer ebasically push button monkeys for engineers.

One day i got a call for a request and the guy had problems authenticating himself ( people had a code generator they needed to use together with us to authenticate the request). It got a bit heated until it finally worked and i approved the request. 1/2

Own it. If people ask tell them you served in Afghanistan, that should be more than enough to shut 99% of people up and foster understanding.

Ages ago in summer i was in my appartment, window open and listening to the rain falling and the thunder coming when suddenly a lightning strike must have come down in my area, possibly into the church tower a couple of hundred meters away.

I have never heard such a loud bang in my life, i nearly fell out of the couch from shock.

Sounds like my dad when he was repairing something around the house.

I learned this as a kid. In fact i learned it so well by painful experience that one day when i was swimming with my dad in the ocean i looked down in the water to see a huge group of jellyfish on the ground, panicked and tried to climb on the back of my dad nearly sinking him.

Now i don't think mediterranean jellyfish are deadly but it's still painful. Later in life i learned there's jellyfish in the oceans that can actually kill you very easily and rank amongst the deadliest animals.

This will forever be one of the best interviews anyone has ever done, figures it would be a comedian doing it. Simon Pegg is just awesome in anything he does.

That is a special kind of stupid.

Unless she's in court for some driving related issue and her license is suspended why lie? Apologize to the court if it was indeed an emergency and you forgot the time this call was scheduled for, pull over at the next opportunity and continue the hearing.

That's all she needed to do.
