If I could raise myself up by my boot-lifts then you can too. Ignore the so-called "experts" and dont be a sheep. Sure they might say things like "Mr. DeSantis, you cant just buy the biggest ones off the shelf and put them in your cowboy boots, they need to be custom fitted and disguised" or "Governor those look ridiculous and super obvious" or "MeatballRon those damn boots of yours dont make you look tall and confident they make you look small and insecure, I care about you and it hurts me to see everyone laughing at you" or "Daddy you look like you are wearing stilettos"

Yeah, Id tell them to try again with their offer without the low-ball insult, or I'd sell it to someone on

I mean, I'd buy him a new microwave for that old one, and I dont even have a niche interest in the history of microwaves. There's gotta be a whole forum of microwave obsessed oddballs who would go nuts over it. The advertising value of this post alone is worth more to Samsung than a couple microwaves, and that is only because a handful of people will accidentally remember the brand wrong.

Yeah. Because one thing is more valuable than the other thing.

Wow, that reframes my entire mental image of the land scape. How surreal it must look standing atop one of those sand dunes in the bottom of the crater and looking up toward the mountainous bowl of the horizon. Thanks

What is the general size of this crater? Also, got any clue whats with the yellow spot on the lowerish left side?

I was doing an end-of-year self-reflective review of my comment history... Gotta say, you certainly shut my smart-ass ass-face with this response. Hats off in recognition of a solid point made succinctly. Also that last line amuses me. Well countered.

I was self-reflecting by reviewing my comment history for the year. I am not proud of myself in this moment. It is clear to me that you were correct in your assesment of my behavior, I was being stupid and sexist. Thank you for calling me out. I regret how disrespectful I was here, and I hope you can accept my sincere apology. I will strive to be better.

What we have sown, we are too proud to reap. Atleast had we have made our just desserts from the garbage we have cultivated, we might have taken pause about our failures. Perhaps we could have addressed the danger of our our continuing lack of consideration and foresight; Instead, in the face of the famine we have grown we will soon find that all that we have left to eat is crow. We won't notice the irony.

I have long considered Canada to be the greatest neighbor our a country could ask for. I can't express my personal outrage at the totally undue disrespect which has been shown by my country toward yours. Worse the timid tolerance this behavior has been met with disgusts me with not just our media, and political class, but the character of the U.S. society as a whole. We insult ourselves with arrogant smile of a drunken buffoon.

It's still a pretty raw wound; your compassion is a salve.

I notice no one has explained that "Airbourne" is a term referring to paratrooping. They parachute out of planes, manage airlifted equipment, supplies, and vehicles (also parachuted out of planes) potentially dropping straight into battle or otherwise dangerous environments. I doubt many of them retire with functional knees after watching how hot those military parachutes come in, pretty hard way to be dropped in full battle rattle by my estimate.

4 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah that's pretty much as I read it. It is going to be some really tricky work trying to triage this broken system into something functional without destabilizing under the wave of new corruption filling the power vacuum. I find it hard to imagine that The US doesn't end up slipping into depression and balkanizing under the pressure of a world full of special interests seeding division and stoking hatreds

Also you got me on that pedantry; I felt like I had very nearly formed a clever turn of phrase until you had to go and remind me how pointing works... pretty damn silly of me.

But my irritation aside, im glad you stand against the fascists, some of us are doing our best, and hamstringing this machine; despite how little of it is televised.

I know the slow pressure and inevitable self-defeat of these clowns is small comfort to those suffering and dying. I know we'll everyone I love is suffering. My friend just died in large part because of what these fucks are doing.we were born into a rigged game. I am not tired of fighting, but the pressures are mounting, and they have cornered themselves into a loss

A bunch of trigger happy lone wolves not only can't solve our problem, but will only re-entrench the maga base. A fully organized armed rebellion is a nice pipe-dream, but the nuttiest gun nuts have never been well-known for being on the side of sanity. Also its a shame to see how constantly erased the actual efforts and courage of my countrymen are with this "yall got guns go throw your life away to only make it worse" rhetoric; the only real message that serves it that of learned helplessness.

Hope you live in a country that isn't complicit in Israel's genocide; otherwise you might reflect on how much easier it is to point a finger than to lift one.

God I love the way your eyes lose that sparkle when you decide you believe I'll grow to care about you more than you disbelieve that newest and most insultingly poorly constructed excuse. You sicken me more than... I̶'̶v̶e̶ ̶a̶l̶w̶a̶y̶s̶ ̶b̶e̶e̶n̶ ̶s̶i̶c̶k̶e̶n̶e̶d̶ ̶b̶y̶ ̶m̶y̶s̶e̶l̶f̶ .. I Love myself.

The unhinged mob of randy-bobs out their will still be nutty, but their implications and threats will lack the same chilling effect when half the trump train doesn't have a truck, doesn't have a house, put all their guns in hock to pay for Billie's meditations what for he doesn't die. And they gotta bring momma in the wheel barrow cuz the home kicked her out and said the wheelchair belonged to them. I'm sure they'll be just itching to get in the van they were piling poors into a few months ago

The tipping point will be after the midterms when all those nice little strategically timed parts of his big brutal bill ratfuck everyone dumb enough to buy a Maga hat and think they were ever part of their US. Once Trump doesn't think you are useful to him you are garbage to him. And Maga is gonna find out they have been officially THEM'd. Not to say I think those clowns will unfuck themselves, but that they are going to be too busy with the repo man and the foreclosure to be playing army man

Did he move out of the way of fascism? Or did he refuse to be a mouthpiece for fascism? Did most of us step out of the way of fascism, or is speaking about resistance in past-tense just yet another drop in the learned-helplessness bucket? Is it good critical thinking to make issues black and white like I'm doing here, or is it disingenuous and couter productive -or maybe a mix of that, or maybe neither, or maybe something else?

Remember when Abbott bussed all those migrants to Chicago last year? I wonder if he'll send the Guard in the same busses. What an absolute fuckface.
