I notice no one has explained that "Airbourne" is a term referring to paratrooping. They parachute out of planes, manage airlifted equipment, supplies, and vehicles (also parachuted out of planes) potentially dropping straight into battle or otherwise dangerous environments. I doubt many of them retire with functional knees after watching how hot those military parachutes come in, pretty hard way to be dropped in full battle rattle by my estimate.
