Take it farther. All consciousness is a subjective experience. We live in a physical world that can never be fully observed. But our brain tries it's best to logically observe it. Math is the bridge between those. Every so often we "invent math" to make the bridge "wider" (more understood).
In this way Math is something that can't be applied to the physical world. The physical world is what it is, and Math is applied to your own consciousness to increase your subjective understanding of physics
Math is applied philosophy. You are kinda dancing around how humans "invent" math to be a tool for how our own brain works to understand something. Math is only applicable to the physical world if you make the implict assumption that your consciousness is telling the truth.

I work as an engineer at one of the largest hospitals in the US. Hospitals are a place that the vilest most self-centered people work. It's because healthcare is seen as "noble" and "respectable" that the worst people choose it as a career path.
And we should knowingly support and spread this propaganda.
It's not a bad idea to "trick" the bigoted and hateful into being more accepting and tolerant.

This doesn't mean to believe in nothing. If we are going to build a better world it's not a bad idea to knowingly support and spread the types of propaganda that "tricks" people into loving and supporting each other. I honestly believe this is the only non-violent way to deal with right-wingers.
Israel is a much bigger problem than the world realizes. The human race has not seen a "united society" that believes so completely in the genocidal atrocities being committed. The horrors committed against Palestinians are blood curdling and yet it is only the beginning.

It's terrible to be a victim of domestic abuse. But it's so much worse to dedicate your life and career to protecting the conservative regime that will obviously be emboldened to commit substantially more abuse to substantially more women.

He was super anti-authoritarian to the point where he didn't care how many innocents got hurt so long as whatever bad guy got hurt more. "The ends justify the means" type of morally grey character.

Everyone wants a super low interest rate for themselves but what happens when the interest rate is lower than the average return of a private equity firm is that buying houses becomes a business investment that makes money to buy more houses, that makes money, to buy more houses.
If the interest rate was way higher private equity firms would die and (even though mortgage interest rates would be worse) total housing prices would drop.
