I work for an airline. We do not cut corners. Your mistake is thinking it would be more profitable to cut corners for aircraft mtce....something horrific is bound to happen, which would have a huge financial impact.
No responsible airline should ever try to negligently "speed up" maintenance. Pressure for info and accurate RTS times sure, but never cut corners.
