Yeah, it helps that the Helmet also has a Laurel and is pretty much the one as seen on the Cover of Templar so the link is easily made.

Oh definitely, I did the same thing with my Sigismund, gave him the IF Command Squads helmet to more resemble the cover of templar.

Looks good! Maybe drybrush some silver to make the sharp edges of the golds stand out more?
Probably the only movie that more or less accurately depicts 40k Warp Travel without a Geller Field to keep the Daemons at bay.
