As a people manager I’ve noticed the long term employees are the greatest assets and the greatest asshats. Their knowledge doesn’t outweigh their blight though.
What would you title it?
American? Asking because I’m curious if this story took 40 years or how did you evade the sales tax on the house if you didn’t live there for over 2 years?

This comment is idealistic but not applicable to addicts. Going to jail is the number 1 effective method for sobering up someone who doesn’t want to be sober. And the ones who don’t want to sober up are the problem.
I have a personal anecdote for that. One of my knee jerk reactions is to ask another person before googling because I like the community think tank process. However that’s not applicable to social media and sometimes my IRL tendencies will spill into the online realm.
I think there should be a drug test and if it’s the hard stuff make a once a week attendance to a support group required. It’s about getting them better.
